Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Jane attended the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, while working for the Chicago Tribune.  After moving to the Northwest with her seven children, she served in the teacher education

department of Western Washington University.

A published author with Houghton

Mifflin (HC/PB), her first book was

cited in ‘The Reading Teacher,’ and

won two ‘Children’s Choice Awards’.

 

She lives now in Bow and Winthrop,

Washington, with her two daughters,

her dog, and her one-eyed cat, and is

writing children’s stories full time.
